Good News is Louder Than Fear
The Christmas season is often filled with images of Mary, meek and mild, with a quiet, sleepy Jesus in her arms. But the host of angles shouts to the skies, “Glory to God in the highest!” What would it look like for us to unabashedly proclaim the good news loudly, with overflowing joy? The good news of Christmas is a disruptive joy. It is loud, and unruly! Shepherds go running into the streets of Bethlehem shouting the news. In a world where good news never feels loud enough to drown out fear, can we join the angels in singing boldly to the glory of God!
