Commitment, Fun & Reformation Sunday

The last Sunday this month, October 29th, is a three-in-one wonderful Sunday. Every year near October 31st, the eve of All Saints’ Day, we remember how more than 500 years ago, Martin Luther set in motion a movement–the Reformation–that meant to reform and change the church into a more just and loving church body. Each year, we invite people to wear red as a symbol of the Holy Spirit, continuing to re-form and make us into a more just and loving church body.

Also, on this day, we will celebrate Commitment Sunday–the culminating Sunday after a month of listening to inspiring Mission Moments and considering how we are Building a Culture of Generosity in the present–you will be invited to share your Intent cards.

Two generous families have agreed to a matching gift of $4000 to Christ if we meet our goal of gathering 45+ intent cards on that day from givers who are willing to share their intended giving for 2024.

It’s also going to be a Family Fun Day Sunday–complete with a visit from Ocho during worship, festive music of all kinds, and fun activities after worship. Come one and all to this celebrative Sunday.
