So many exciting developments are coming this month with Shobi’s Table–our Abundance Kitchen Ministry Partner. Come and hear all about it , Thursday, October 5th – We’re Having a Party! (From Scratch Fundraiser) at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church
Way back in the fall of 2019, we gathered to celebrate Shobi’s Table’s new life as a pay-as-you-can café. We had 60 folks show up, enjoy burritos, listen to music, and we raised nearly $5,000. We were absolutely thrilled! And then… the pandemic, which turned the world upside down. But, like every other fundraising organization, we were not deterred! For the past three years we have had virtual fundraisers, in which many of you participated and helped us create deep success – steadily growing the ministry of Shobi’s Table from two days a month to three days a week! And now, in 2023 – we get to gather again. I hope you have Thursday, October 5th on your calendars. In one big room, we will see each other’s faces and break bread as members of the Shobi’s Table community. We will celebrate the addition of our fourth service day at Rice & Larpenteur and look ahead to continued growth of a fifth day and deepening, Christ-like relationships. We have ambitious goals for the year ahead. We are excited to share more, celebrate five years of incredible ministry and invite you to be part of our growth.
Come to the table, and all will be fed.
